A series of abstract paintings in the style of Gerhard Richter

During my Bachelor's studies, I took an etching course by Anda Manea. One of the exercises was to create a series of abstract paintings in the style of German visual artist Gerhard Richter. The goal was to get a better understanding of colours and composition of a painting. Just like Richter, we used brushes and scrapers as tools, but instead of oil paint, we painted with acrylic paint in primary colours on cardboard canvases. In my paintings, I explored gradients of yellow, green and blue, contrasted by rough black and white strokes reminiscent of torn paper.
